The time has come.....

Alas, all good things must end and our little vacation is at that point. This means back to work for us elders and back to school for the kids, I also get to start my new class this week the same day I turn another year older. Who wants to start Statistics on their birthday- I mean really- kinda mean don't you think?

In a moment of self-indulgence I made myself a new bag. In my impatience I made this bag without a nice stiff interfacing-I was out- I am sorry for that- its a bit floppy.

Oy-vay I love it anyway!

And so I didn't forget my two favorite emotions- I embroidered them on the front.

I had to laugh because of the mix of fabrics- its an Amy Butler meet Jo-Ann meet Moda, backed in linen, lined with the softest thrifted sheet. Such a meeting of the minds!

So as you all kick off the first full week of the New Year:::::: Laugh and Love and all is right with the world.

Cute bag, Natasha!! Words to live by. And you're right. Statistics on your birthday?! I'd suggest skipping, but that's probably not the way to get on the prof's good side.

Good luck with your back to school routine!

I like the fabric combinations - I think it takes true talent to do such a mixing of fabrics from different places!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
Love your "amy butler meets Joann meets Moda bag"!!! I am one who mixes fabrics and some folks think that can't be done. Sometimes it just works and the soft thrift shop sheet is great. Very nice!
My son finished his statistics class just before Christmas (he's in his early 30's) and was pleased that he got a better grade than he thought he would. Said that sometimes he could arrive at an answer but not the way the teacher liked but in the end, it turned out okay. Thanks for visiting my blog!
